I am having such fun doing this.
Things are going just dandy. I'm on top of schedule for the first time in my life - just past 18,000 words. For a while I was bored, but now I'm not because I threw in a dead body and bucket loads of DRAMA :D
Too bad the manuscript's absolutely unreadable as is. I have a key event happen once, then again because I didn't like the way I wrote it the first time. And the characters are crazy mutable. Consistency? PAH.

I decided this year to sign up for National Novel Writing Month because I have no life.
Really, I don't start school until January and I can't find a job because I am a pansy.
So I'm keeping a journal here of how it's going. Because this LJ needs some love.
So.
Word Count: 1,281
48,719 words to go
I SHALL RULE ALL BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR A YEAR WHEN I FINISH THIS.

I downloaded a scriptwriting program earlier just for the heck of it -I love downloading silly specialty freeware - and ended up writing a screenplay-play hybrid. I have no idea how long it is or really what it's about, but it's the first thing I've been able to finish since Satan killed whatever enthusiasm I had for writing last year AND I'M SO HAPPY.
Currently converting it to PDF file just because I can. It's taking longer than I expected, but that doesn't matter since when I wake up ungodly early in the morning to get ready for my senior portraits I can think 'God, I wrote a short play last night and now I have a PDF copy of it. I am so ready for my last bad school photo!'
*Joy*
Oh, and I had my mummy curl my hair earlier, and I thought the initial result was interesting. So I'll post photos of it :D Tomorrow, that is.

The week is over. Wanna know what I did? Huh? Huh? Really? Well, then.
I SQUISHED my Chemistry test, STOMPED the Algebra quiz, CRUSHED the Lit. EOCT, PRESSURE COOKED the U.S. History EOCT, MICROWAVED the Algebra project, FLATTENED my audition, and PWN3D the SAT.
All in the space of four (4) days.
I LOVE BEING A STUDENT. REALLY, I DO.

Thought I'd post an update of the portrait of

OMG SHE'S POSTED TWICE IN ONE DAY!!!! *heart attack*
I drew something :D
I'm not even close to finished yet, dude. And no, I did not draw that freehand. I had a photo reference that I traced over (I rarely trace, but this time I wanted to so I could get past the sketching stage to the actual coloring :P). Thanks,
runtus_maximus, for lending me your face (and hand)!
*edit* 4/14: Just realized that the image doesn't have even my signature O_o Fixed that with a watermark.

Just registered at fanfiction.net. Visit me!
I'm probably going to get jumped soon since the story I wrote that I let Runt post on her account is now registered under the both of us and I will be accused of copying, even though there are numerous messages stating that it was my story. Eeek.
Speaking of which, I haven't posted Glittering Red here yet. Another EEK! I will remedy that. I had a wonderful time with the itsy bitsy bit of gruesome imagery at the end, since I never have a chance otherwise to write it =D
On another note, I got a new pair of uber-invasive earphones today. THEY HAVE BASS. I haven't heard bass ever since I got my iPod and started using the headphones that came with it. It's wooonderfuuuuuul.

Okay, the title's a little misleading since these aren't really drabbles since the word count varies. But that is of minor importance!

What do you get when you put two sisters with common interests, a laptop each, and a vacation in rural Mississippi together?
A PROMPT-A-THON.
I will be posting these great works of literature here tomorrow, when I can go outside to get a better connection to the (amazingly awesome) neighbor's Wi-Fi that I'm snitching off of. But to give you an idea of what I've been doing today, here are some examples of what Runt, 's given me:
Prompt: Anne of Green Gables
Fandom: Kyou Kara Maou!
Length: At least 150 words
Prompt: Put Down the Donut If You Please.
Fandom: A Great and Terrible Beauty
No Word Limit
Prompt: Crap! Kairi’s gotten another fish!
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Donald, Mickey
I haven't been so amused in a long, long time :D

Finished the GHSGT this morning. Unless I used the wrong type of pencil, I'm almost completely sure I passed the test. Nice to have it out of the way.
Know what else's nice? Warm weather. Not wussy warm weather in the 60's range, no. I'm talking about high 70's to 80's. All March long. Daylight savings time is a goodie too. It bands with the effects of global warming to squash my SAD symptoms. WOO! Die SAD, die. Only bad thing about spring is that Grendel's developed the new habit of whining incessantly to go outside. Not only does that annoy me, but his paws are white. We live in Northern Georgia. Grendel's paws are now BRIGHT ORANGE.
I really need to fix that.

I don't understand why nobody plays snow-ish songs after Christmas. It never snows before Christmas in Georgia. The last blizzard we had was in March in the early 90's. It makes winter all the more depressing.
...It almost snowed here Thursday. It did, just 20 miles NE. I'm just a little bitter.
However, I have discovered the joy of Coldplay's Fix You, the only song I know of that manages to be breathtakingly sad without breathtakingly sad lyrics.

The weekend is finally here. You know, despite past experiences, this first week back wasn't that bad. I have a wonderful schedule that a beautiful, intelligent, mighty counselor put together for me, so I don't have to do any sitting around by myself this year because I don't know anybody. It makes me want to float.
I've been doing a lot of reading lately. No, not reading on the internet for once, but reading real, bound books (some of the time).
So yeah. Off to bed I go.

Junior year starts off tomorrow and I'm seriously considering taking a sleeping pill at 5am so it will be impossible for anybody to wake me up until I've already missed me ride. I think I might anyway if tomorrow goes badly (i.e. the office people screw up my schedule, because it's blasphemy for me to have a schedule so choc-full of friends such as the one I have now). It's not so much nervousness that's affecting me at the moment but more of a dread. A great horrible dread. I dread the boredom of the classroom.
So to counteract that I've gone on a major iPod updating spree. Now I have a multi-pass to The Colbert Report, the free pilot episodes of Kyle XY and Three Moons over Milford, five episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, two videos of Ben being a nutcase, all 749 of my pictures, and some 520 songs. Now if only I can find a way to use my iPod without having it taken up or stolen other than keeping out of sight and on my person at all times. Come hell or high water, I am not going to lose my child.
Though I may lose my brain with all this last minute-cramming I'm doing. I don't know why I wait until the last minute to read a 400 page book when I know I'm still not going to have it done by next Monday. It's something that comes with three years of honors classes. I guess. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe it's just me.
I don't wanna wake up at 6:30 tomorrow. I don't wanna go on the bus because they don't give parking spots to juniors (ignoring the fact that I will not have my license until October). I don't wanna go another 180 days without a decent lunch or breakfast. I just want to stay at home or go to college so I won't be living off my parents at 35. But getting there takes so bloody long.
